He's Got The Look

Since it was unseasonably warm today (75 degrees) Bryson and I decided to take the new TTT bike for a spin in the front yard. Of course mom takes this as a photo shoot opportunity and Bryson gives me "the look" Ironically my mom has several pictures of me making this same face when I was little, a picture is definitly worth a thousand words! I look at this picture and the song "Bad Bad Leroy Brown" starts playing in my head.

2 Weeks....2 Kids

This morning I woke up and thought to myself, I'm going to have 2 kids in 2 weeks....oh my goodness! I can't wait to meet little Macie and see her sweet face. I would say that I'm ready....but I still have some things to wrap up before I am completely ready.

On a side note why is it that when you are pregnant everyone wants to give you their two cents? Tonight Bryson and I had a fun mommy/son night. We went to Chic fil A for family night (which is awesome by the way). Anyway we were playing on the playground and someone asks me, when are you due? what are you having? I say 2 weeks, a girl. She says, "Oh yea they told me I was having a girl too, do you see my 18 month old son over there?" I'm two weeks away from giving birth....I don't want to hear about your mistaken gender, horrible labor, list of things that can go wrong etc. etc. The same lady then proceeds to tell me that her sons are 27 months apart too and she had her oldest son was potty trained by the time her youngest came and she is SO glad he was because she doesn't think that she could have done it after the baby came, um again NOT what I want to hear. Okay I think I'm on a pregnant tangent, so I'm going to stop there.

My son is the sweetest little boy, he was being so loving and cute tonight and all I could think was, honey your world is about to be rocked!
I just looked back to my 20 week post...wow how my belly has grown: http://familybrunson.blogspot.com/2008/08/20-weekshalf-way-there.html

Ride Em' Cowboy

So Christmas morning Allan & Debbie came to see Bryson open his presents and they brought the cutest belt for Bryson.....it was his Aunt Joy's belt when she was little but the buckle was Allan's, he won it in a Rodeo in 1964...neat huh? Bryson was really into the whole cowboy get up! The horse, the boots, the wranglers, the hat, & the belt complete with the buckle...Ride em' Cowboy!

Christmas #2 & #3

Cookies and Milk for Santa Claus........this is going to be fun! Santa left a pile of goodies for Bryson....most famous the one, the only, Thomas the Train Bicycle! He was also very excited about his fire truck, and "Ron Deere Tractor" and of course various trains and items for the train table. Finally after months of anticipation he can break in this bike!
What a difference a year makes, he is all about opening the presents!
After we were finished opening presents & eating breakfast with Dede & Pops we went over to Mimi & Papa's house for Christmas #3 Mimi & Papa got Bryson a cool "big boy train" don't worry there were many more presents where that came from!
Uncle Cody got Guitar Hero World Tour, Bryson digs it!
Bryson loves his Mimi!
The day after Christmas.....still digging the TTT Bike!

It's for who?

This post is for all of the Locke Family in Alaska...
Cleve's cousin Questa sent the cutest little Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Karaeoke book complete with a microphone for Christmas. We thought it was for Bryson but it looks like it could have been for her Uncle Allan! Thanks Questa & Jess, hope you enjoy the video!

Mom & Dad got lots of fun presents too!
Uncle Dub & Baby Izzy
When it was all over Bryson and Izzy played in the wrapping paper, all of those toys and they want to play with the paper!
Pops & Dede's big gift to Bryson was a Black and Decker Workbench, Pops was showing Bryson how all of these tools work. Bryson was taking it all in! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family!

To Bethlehem

Bryson had his very first Christmas play today at preschool, it was so cute! When he came out to the stage he saw all of us sitting on the front row and decided that he would walk down the stairs and see us!
It's always so cute to see what kids will do when given the opportunity to perform for others. One thing's for sure, it's definitly entertaining and priceless!

Bryson was really into being a "STAR"

The whole cast and crew......
What a neat experience it was to see the first of many plays!

Video of the Play

Here is a little glimpse of the play....Hysterical!

Almost, but not quite..

Sunday morning we rushed around to get ready to go to church. We were running a bit behind (imagine that) so I told Cleve to drop Bryson and I off at the entrance so I could get him settled in Sunday School. I hopped out of the car walked around to get him out of the car seat, unbuckled him and then it came.......the much despised vomit. It just kept coming. So here I was pregnant in front of the church where all of the church goers are strolling in to enjoy a nice Sunday service with vomit all over my hands and I was gagging, holding back my breakfast. Bryson looks at me and says, "Mom, Bryson wants to get out of this one car and go to Sunday School" I just looked at him and said sweety we are going home. Cleve hopped out and proceeded to strip Bryson down to his diaper. It was one of those moments that you are like, seriously!? Since we live about 2 miles from the church and the car seat was unable to occupy, Bryson got to sit on my lap as we drove home. Thank God it was warm and we could ride with the windows down! The rest of the day he acted completely normal and is still doing fine so hopefully it was an isolated incident. He does keep saying, Bryson throwed up! They say better late than never but I think under the circumstances never was appropriate!
I know everyone is sad there are no pics to accompany this post!

Bryson's Big Room

Is complete! Train table and all!!

Christmas Cards

Signed, Sealed, Delivered.....I hope! So I finished my Christmas cards after many long hours of working on them. I hope that they make it safely, but have already had a report of one arriving with a cigarette burn hole thru the envelope and the card.....RANDOM! I guess the post man was getting his nicotine fix! I hope it was an isolated case :)
From our family to yours Merry Christmas!

Happy 60th Pops!

Friday was Pops 60th birthday. We all got together to celebrate at J.W. & Leticia's house. It was a fun day of great food and family. Bryson always has fun down at Uncle Dub's house seeing the cows, riding the 3 wheeler and "hanging out" as he would say :)
Here is the whole family:

Christmas Tyme

Although he wasn't smiling in this pic Bryson LOVED seeing Santa at Christmas Tyme in Aledo at my office. It was a fun night filled with lots of kids lining up to see the big man. Santa rode up on the fire truck and made his grand entrance. When Bryson sat on his lap Santa asked him what he wanted and he exclaimed, "A Thomas the Train Bicycle!" even when he wasn't sitting on Santa's lap and was across the room he would blurt out, Hey Santa, Bryson wants a Thomas the Train Bicycle.....okay I think he's got it! I love seeing Christmas thru his eyes!

Yesterday we went to the Omni Theater to see The Polar Express. If you have ever seen the movie you remember the part where Santa tells the little boy that he gets to receive the first gift of Christmas and then asks what he would like, after a long pause the boy answers him. Well during this long pause Bryson decided he wanted to answer Santa and in a non-movie theater friendly volume said "A Thomas the Train Bicycle" Cleve and I said shhhh be quiet, he then looked at me and said "Mom, Santa has blue eyes" we were holding our laughter in!

Parade of Lights

To kick off the Christmas Season we went to Downtown Fort Worth the day after Thanksgiving for the annual Parade of Lights. It took a while to get the parade going and Bryson was a little impatient and disinterested. Which honestly shocked me because he is usually all about the parades. Since that night he has been asking us to go see the parade daily, funny seeing as how he was more interested in watching Charlie Brown on the iPhone than the parade!

Happy THANKSgiving

From our family to yours. We hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Bryson and I watched a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving tonight and it was followed by the Pilgram's story (as told by the Peanuts crew). I was reminded of so many things. It's amazing what the founders of our country were willing to sacrafice for religous freedom & escape from persecution. We are so blessed to live in the country we do, God blessed America and continues to do so. We should truly give thanks from the heart for everything he has given us with and remember the sacrafice that was made so many years ago.

I have so much to be thankful for: my loving family, immediate & extended. My beautiful son who brings so much joy to my life, my daughter who is growing inside of me and I will soon get to meet, my loving husband who is a wonderful father, excellent provider, supporter, and best friend. Wonderful friends who have always been there for me, that I live in America, and most of all for Jesus Christ, my savior, every good and perfect gift is from above and he has caused all things to work together for my good.

Family Visit from CA

My cousin Christina from California & her boyfriend Tyler were in town this past weekend for a visit.
We took them to see the Texas sites.....Railhead BBQ, Golf, Shopping, TCU football game (it was chili), Salt Grass, Main Event, Church, Fire Station, Pappasito's, the Stockyards and of course we had to show them the new Texas Stadium!

Cleve & Bryson at the TCU game.

Like Father, Like Son.....

Stockyards Station

Bryson loved having Christina & Tyler here. He is still asking for them and when I tell him they went home to California he says, "I wanna go to California!" If I had a dollar for everytime he asked, "Whatcha doin Christina.....Whatcha doin Tyler?" I'd be rich!
