Summertime

Summertime is so much fun, we are loving no schedule and all the fun times.  We took the kids to see Despicable Me 2, we all loved it!  Hysterical.

Bryson has had his "boy" time.  It's non-stop playing around here.
Bryson & Macie have played well together.....and fought.....and played well together

 A couple games of bball
Macie got to take an extra special trip to Dede & Pops to make up for her short trip last time
Love my family, so incredibly blessed by the life God has blessed me with.  It is my prayer that we would honor him in our lives.

Pine Cove Base Camp

Bryson had his first Pine Cove experience.....no no we didn't send him off to camp.  Base camp was at our church and it was day camp from 9-4 they bring all of the camp fun to the campus and the kids have a blast!  He got to be in a group with a bunch of friends and learned lots about the coolest person in the history of the world.....JESUS!
His counselor was awesome and really enjoyed having him
They received character awards from their counselors the last day, they observed them the whole week and then wrote what qualities they saw in them.  I love this, it really does describe my sweet boy to a T

Cast Lovin'

Macie is doing great and totally digging having the cast.  She had all kinds of visitors, cards, gifts, treats.  We really really appreciate all of the love!  It is such a blessing to have such wonderful friends & family!

Great news, I bought "Dry Cast" and Macie can swim in her cast......yea!

Brunson Lake Fun

We were able to spend the day with the "Ron Brunson" crew....seriously so blessed to be a part of the Brunson family.  They are all so much fun!  Bryson always LOVES hanging with all of his boy cousins!

The Fourth...We Won't Forget

Annual Stephenville Parade with Dede & Pops, the kids had a ball! The kids enjoyed their time with Dede & Pops as always.  In the evening they were riding their new pony, Shotgun.  Dede texted me these two pictures with the caption:  I'm having fun!
Shortly after this one, my phone rang.  It was Dede, she said Macie broke her arm.  What?  Are you sure?  Yes I'm sure.  We debated what to do, Cleve was working what hospital should we go to?  After hearing the pain she was in we decided Stephenville would be the best because it was such a long drive to Cooks.  So they headed to Stephenville, Cleve left work and came to get me.  They said to hold tight until we had X-ray results, in the meantime they gave her an IV (which was quite the ordeal) and some morphine, which she really needed.  The X-ray was bad both bones broken just above the wrist.  They said she needed to go to Cook's and by ambulance!
2+ hours around midnight she arrived at Cook's she was very talkative and in decent spirits.   We finally were able to see her, it's very strange to be separated from your child at a time like this, but honestly I think she did better with her grandparents then she would have had we been there. We answered all the questions  and finally saw the doc, he looked at the x-ray examined her and said that she would need to stay overnight and see the orthopedic surgeon in the morning.  It was about 2 am at this point.  Long, long night.
The morning came early and they said surgery at 9 am which turned into 10.  Macie was quite the trooper and very brave.  She received this prayer bear from some sweet volunteers and the cute monkey from our neighbor who happened to be working that day.  After she was done we had to stay in recovery until she got the green like to go home.  Then we were off with pain meds and a hot pink cast!

One of the first things Macie said to us when she woke up was Can I have stickers to put on my cast, she couldn't wait to decorate it.  Her Daddy was happy to help her with that!
We came home late afternoon and took it very easy, she got a bath I painted her toes and fingers (hot pink of course).  Since the kids didn't get to do fireworks last night we shot off a few in the broad daylight, there was no way they were making it too much longer.  Macie said she was the pretty pink unicorn princess!  She has been really excited about her cast and milking it to the max!

We are so grateful to all of our amazing friends, family and neighbors.  What an outpour of love we were shown from you all!  It means so much to know how much people truly care.  I'm so thankful that God protected her, I know that as inconvenient as the cast is it could have been so much worse.  He is so good, all the time!

Ride out

Bryson was SO excited!  I think it is so neat that he honestly wants to be JUST like his dad!  He has such an interest in his career.   We had dinner at the station and then they played a little game to see who had to clean up the kitchen.....it's like a frat house!
Daddy got his new dress blue uniform with his new rank, Bryson had to try on the hat.
So blessed to have this little guy as my son, he is so blessed to have such a wonderful dad who is so hands on and loving, and I'm so blessed to have my husband.  God has been so good to me!

Emmie's 9

Macie LOVES Emmie!  She especially loved her super cute 50s birthday party.  Emmie is always so sweet to include Macie and make sure that she is having a great time!

NKOTB

Growing up I love, love, LOVED the New Kids on the Block!  I'm talking poster, buttons, cassette tapes, teen bop magazines, concert videos, barbie dolls.  My absolute favorite was Jordan Knight, I must have written "Alicia Knight" 1000 times.  Unfortunately, out of a miscommunication my cousin and I ended up attending the "New Kids on the Block" puppet show when we thought we were attending the boy band concert!  It was very dramatic and traumatizing I can assure you of that!
When they came in 2008 it was on Bryson's actual birth day, I didn't think that would go over well!  Anyway when the opportunity presented itself I jumped all over it, and couldn't wait to see if they still had the "right stuff"  in case you were wondering they did!
I texted the above pic to Cleve and said, "Be jealous" to which he replied, "I'm not"  LOL
Boys II Men rocked it, I love them to.....98 degrees I could have lived without, I was never a fan of theirs.  I guess I was over the boy band when they came along.  Then the new kids came out and it was awesome!
This pretty much sums up the night!  What a fun girls night with great friends!
