Red Ribbon Week

Crazy Hair Day….and also the same day Bryson got glasses!  I had no idea he needed them until I took him to his ten year well visit.  They recommended he see an eye doctor, and here we are glasses for seeing the board at school and far distances.

It just so happened to be "dress like an elderly person" the next day at school.   All his friends thought they were part of his costume :)

Blair Elizabeth

Sweet Blair, our miracle baby!  The Lord was good and faithful as always!  Cleve's sister, Joy, found out about halfway through her pregnancy that her baby had VACTERL Syndrome.  There were many unknowns and an array of possible scenarios that could become reality.  We prayed, we prayed hard for her health, that the Lord would heal her, that he would comfort Joy and John Paul.  We believed, we believed 100% that our God was faithful and would perform a miracle.  This was the first time that I saw the kids take true ownership in prayer and demonstrate unwavering faith.   It seemed as though with each doctors appointment there would be additional news of possible defects or scenarios.  We prayed, we trusted, we believed.
Two days before Blair was born it was discovered that her trachea and esophagus were crossed and she would require surgery almost immediately among many other things.
Blair Elizabeth Schreiner was born September 6, 2016 at 1:15pm and was 5lbs 7oz and 18 inches long She went into surgery at 2 days old and it was a huge success!  After 3 weeks in the NICU she was able to go home and meet her big sister Quinn.  Blair has continuously defied the odds and the Lord has performed great works by his hand.  She still has many surgeries ahead for her and we are praying and believing that she will continue to be a thriving, blossoming, walking and talking miracle and testament of the Glory of God!
Bryson meeting Blair for the first time, he was over the moon!
