So cute...

Cleve sent me this on Saturday, it was a great pic to get while I was away! Hey, he put A bow...or two in her hair....all by himself!

NYC

What a fun girls trip to NYC!! We had a blast touring the city, shopping, seeing the sites and enjoying BEAUTIFUL weather!
Central Park was amazing and so beautiful this time of year!

It was such a great trip, and I was so reminded of all of our fun Zeta house days! I was ready to get back to my babies, hubby and a slower pace of life!

2 1/2

Lil man was officially 2 1/2 yesterday. We are really enjoying this age, he is so much fun and makes us laugh everyday.
Some memorable things from this age:
~He enjoys watching Barney while riding in the car (see above picture). Sometimes Barney is my saving grace, now I know how my parents felt when I continually asked them, Where are we going? Why? Are we there yet? What's that?
~He really loves playing golf and can hit the ball pretty well.
This morning he told my father-in-law "I've been playing golf all morning"
~He loves playing outside and would play out there all day in all weather conditions if we would let him.
~He loves preschool and asks every morning if he gets to go to school today (he only goes on Tuesday & Thursday). We were driving in the car the other day and we went thru a yellow light he said, "Dad yellow means slow down, green means GO and red means STOP" we said where did you learn that? he responds, Preschool. (Hello Mom & Dad don't you know!)
~Everyday he asks who is coming over to our house to see him. I guess this is because we are so blessed to have so much family so close and they all come & see us.
(When Cleve's mom comes he says, "Dede what did you bring me?")
~He still loves fire trucks and is always wanting to go the fire station, see the guys and get the hose out so he can put out the fires!
~He says the funniest things and he is becoming such a little man. It's so funny to have a full conversation with him and see just how his little mind is working. The other day he said to me, "Mom I texted her and she didn't text me back"
~Our upcoming challenge is potty training....I bought the 3 day potty training book and am planning on doing the intense 3 day training very soon.....hopefully it will go well. I know he is ready, it's me that has to be "trained" too! Stay tuned for how it works out!
The past 2 1/2 years have been great and we are so thankful to have such a healthy, smart, loving & wonderful son!

3 months!

My oh my how time flies with your second child! I can not believe Macie is 3 months old! She is getting so big and more of a personality with each passing day. This month she started sleeping in her own room, Yea! Last Thursday and Friday she slept thru the night 8:30pm-5am, ate, and then back to bed until 8:30am!!! She is such a happy baby, smiling and laughing all of the time. No more being upset in the evenings, bye bye colic! Playing on her activity mat and staring at her big brother are high on her list of fun activities. She is such a good baby and so sweet natured.
Macie girl we love you!
Thank you Dede for my pretty Easter bunny!
p.s. Does this head make my bow look big?

Easter Sunday

The Easter Bunny was good to the kiddos:

Some Pics Before Church...

This was the best I could do....

The whole family

Easter was great! I am so thankful for Christ's sacrafice for me on the cross. He came, lived & died that I might be saved from my sins! Being a parent I can't imagine giving my only son, for anything. God's love is amazing!

Hippty Hop

Here comes Macie Cottentail hoppy down the bunny trail.......

Eggstravaganza

Our church had an eggstravaganza on Saturday morning to celebrate Easter. There were several different parts of the day, one part we took communion as a family and they explained why we take communion....a little over Bryson's head. He just wanted to drink the grape juice, over and over and over!

Another part they had the kids pick out a rock and then write something they wanted to pray for on the rock. Bryson wanted to write Pops on the rock since he just had surgery on Friday. My mom said, okay Bryson everytime you see this rock you have to pray for Pops. Bryson's response, "Thank you God bless the food on the plate...Pops" It was hysterical!

The last part of the day was the Easter Egg hunt, this was the first time that Bryson had hunted for eggs with other kids. He was on a mission to get as many eggs as he could, as quickly as possible!
And when all the eggs were gone he reached in his basket, opened one and said, "Open this candy mom"
It was a great time!

The Routine

We are on Night #4 of Macie sleeping in her room and tonight was the first night that I began the routine. We did this with Bryson and it has worked quite well. So I gave her a bath, put her pjs on, read her "Nighty Night", sang her Jesus loves the little children and laid her down in her bed. That was almost three hours ago and she's sleeping!!!

Day out with Thomas

We went to Day out with Thomas the Train on Saturday, this is our second year to go, here is a link to last year's post:
Bryson had so much fun again this year!

Model Train Area.....

Don't forget the $5 Corn Dog! For some reason my child is obsessed with corn dogs, he would eat one for every meal if I would let him. Hopefully this is a phase!

The Mini-Train

Watching the Big Train go by.....

Getting his Thomas "tattoo" although he kept telling me, "Mom it's not a tattoo it's a sticker"

The man of the hour.......

Day-O-Fun Continued...

After Thomas the Train we went to Grapevine Mills Mall, quite eventful getting there...."Rosa" my navigation system in my car gave us incorrect directions which in turn caused us to be very turned around. Thank God for the iPhone, that little blue dot showing you where you are on the map sure is handy! We also had a little fender bender on 121....I sorta kinda might have over reacted to some breaking traffic in front of us, which caused Cleve to hit the breaks, which caused the lady behind us to squeal her tires and rear end us. Thankfully it was very very minor, Thank God! All that said we arrived at Grapevine Mills which, in my opinion, is pretty much like an amusement park. We had to break mid-way thru the mall for an ice cream...

We ended our day by going to my parents for dinner. Bryson wanted to go swimming so Papa turned on the Hot Tub for him.

This is what Macie thought about all of the day's excitement, she literally slept the whole day!

Cartoons....

they are fun for all ages.....

First Night

Last night was the first night for Macie to sleep in her crib in her room. She did great, of course mommy was up checking her all thru out the night. I put her to bed at about 10pm and had, for the first time since she has been born, mommy alone time. No husband, no kids, no work. I got so much done: laundry, cleaning, watched a movie, played on the computer, read my bible....it was FANTASTIC!!

Fire truck

This cute little pullover was brought from New York to Bryson from Aunt Joy, I have such fond memories of Bryson wearing it as a baby. It is one of the few things that is "gender neutral" just add a bow!

Siblings

Yes! Twins......ummmmm no! Look at all of the hair Bryson has and although you can't see all that well Macie has hair, just not near as much as Bryson. They both have those chubby chubby cheeks! Love em'

Gotta have

SHADES!
