Macie LOOOVVVEEESSS real food! Seriously, she eats more than Bryson does! I'm so glad that she isn't picky about real food like she was baby food. Just recently she had two new teeth on the top come in, which makes a grand total of 5 teeth. She is growing up so fast, I can't believe she will be a year old in a month and a half! She is walking really well and is literally all over the place, really fast! All day today I would turn around and she'd be on the other side of the house. Amazing how fast they go from taking a few steps to cruising at lightning speed! We also just put the tree up yesterday so we've been working on the "Tree is for looking at not for touching" concept......yep it's a battle. She totally understands the words "NO NO" and when I swat her little hand she looks at me and it's nothing but drama! All in all it's going better than expected, I think it's clicking. We'll see what happens tomorrow!Saturday, November 28, 2009

Bryson's shirt says it all:
I am so thankful for my family. I'm blessed with a wonderful husband and father to my children, two beautiful healthy kids; my sweet boy and precious little girl, loving parents, siblings, and great in-laws. Thank you God for all of the blessings in my life!

Little Disappointed..
So I called the church office today to make sure that Macie was signed up to be dedicated on Christmas Eve this year. Guess what? They aren't doing dedications on Christmas Eve anymore, they aren't even doing them during regular church services, and the next time they will have a service on a Sunday afternoon to dedicate will be sometime in the spring. So I'm a little disappointed. Macie will be over a year old at that time! I should have just done it in October. Sigh....oh well we will do it in the Spring. The important thing is that we are going to make the public commitment to raise her in a Christian home, pray earnestly for her, demonstrate an example of godliness, and submit her to the will of God.
Camping Preview...
We had a great time with great friends this past weekend! We went camping with the Vaughns at Mineral Wells State Park. It was a blast, I have lots of pics to post but here are two from my phone (I love the new photoshop app!) The kids did great and enjoyed the great outdoors, complete with hiking on trails, riding scooters, seeing deer, campfire, roasting marshmellows, digging in dirt, fishing, games, and time with friends & family. Isn't that what camping is all about?

Sick!
Monday Macie started running a fever, but it was a very low grade one so I thought it was a result of teething. Monday night she woke up and was burning up! After a long night I called the pediatrician 1st thing on Tuesday am and got her an appointment. The doctor took a look at her and said that she looked like she had the beginnings of some kind of virus but wasn't sure what it was, she wanted to run a flu test on her. The test came back negative but she said that it wasn't definitive. Reliable? Yes but not 100% she decided to go ahead and give me a RX for Tamiflu and instructed me to let the Tylenol run out and see if her fever spiked or not. Then I could decide if I wanted to fill the RX. So I returned home and thought about it....to give Tamiflu or not to give it? Her fever came back when it was time for the Tylenol, by the evening I had decided to fill the Tamiflu. Much better to be on the cautious side then wait a couple of days, and then find out that she does have the flu and it has progressed. So she is on Day 2 of the Tamiflu and currently does not have a temperature. We will see prayerfully she will recover quickly and Bryson, Cleve and myself will not get whatever it is that she has. This is the first time she has been sick in her life, and while I'm grateful that we made it 10 months before getting sick I'm ready for it to be over!

10 Months!
-Walking! That's right little miss is officially walking, everywhere! It is very cute to see her go from one place to the next and even carry toys with her as she goes. We are so proud!
-3 teeth! She had another tooth break thru this month and this was the first one in almost 4 months. There are two more on the way. So officially she has 1 tooth on top, 2 on bottom and 2 other almost teeth on the top.
-Eating! We all know how she is not a fan of baby food, so we've been feeding her mostly what we eat and she LOVES it! She will sometimes eat more than Bryson (this comes in handy because I will tell Bryson, "Macie is beating you, you better hurry and eat your food" So then he will start eating and say, "No way Jose, I'm beating her!") It's really funny!
-Sleeping! Dare I say it but I believe she is becoming more of a napper this month. Today she slept for 2 1/2 hours mid-day and then a little cat nap in the afternoon. I've been putting her to bed between 7:30-8.
-Dance! She LOVES to dance....especially to the ABC song by the Jackson 5. It comes on and she starts doing her thing, it is hysterical! She will bend her knees, do the "hula hoop" motion, clap and shake her head. I just love watching it!
-Brother! Bryson is very sweet with her, he calls her "My Macie" and is always upset if she is not present. He is really in to making her laugh and sometimes she will just laugh hysterically at him, for no reason. It's very cute. Tonight he wanted to sing the "Boom Boom Pow Song" to her and dance to make her laugh or as he says, "Mom I want to make her waff"
-Holidays! I know she has no idea what's going on but I can't wait to celebrate the upcoming holidays with her they are going to be so special.
-Macie B, Macie Girl, Sweet Girl, Baby Girl, Snuggle Bunny! Just a few of her nicknames that mommy & daddy call her...we even have a little jingle for Macie B. Bryson calls her My Macie or sissy. Oh and let's not forget her Drama Queen nickname. Bryson told me today, "Mom, Macie's being a Drama Queen again"
-Talking! She is saying Mama, Dada, Baba, Mommy. She also said A-MON-A which is what Bryson calls my neice Ramona....but it was a one time occurance.
-Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! This is definitly her favorite show, not that she watches a lot of TV but when I turn on MMC she is entranced! She also loves to play with the Laugh and Learn House.
Macie B we love you more than words can express and are so proud of you. You are smart, beautiful, charming, and such a joy! We pray that you will always know these things are true.
p.s. you are also WAY too much fun to shop for!!!

Two Words:
DRAMA QUEEN!
Yesterday Macie was way past nap time and she did NOT want her bow on her head, she kept pulling it off and I would put it back on.....oh the difference between boys and girls! Of course right after this picture was taken Bryson threw a football and hit her in the face by accident. Boys will be boys.....and girls will be Drama Queens!

Look whose WALKING!
I'm so proud of Macie! She has been taking steps for a while now but just decided she wanted to walk as a mode of transportation! Bryson thinks it's pretty cool too!
p.s. she is her mother's daughter because she is also dancing!

A-MON-A
I don't think I have posted a shot of my precious little neice Ramona....so here it is! Isn't she adorable? Anyway my sister and Ramona came over the other day and we were eating lunch at the table. We were all sitting there and Ramona started waking up so I was saying, "Hi Baby Ramona, Hi Ramona" etc. etc. then Bryson says, "Hi Baby Amona, Amona, Amona" (this is what he calls her, he can say Ramona, he just chooses not to) and all of the sudden to all of our suprise.....we hear.....A-MON-A...from who's mouth? MACIE'S!!!! I couldn't believe it! Seriously if I hadn't heard it with my own ears I wouldn't believe it! We all turned and looked at her in shock! Of course we tried to get her to do it again and she would not comply. I think it's a sign that her and Ramona.....are going to be besties!Wednesday, November 4, 2009
Happy Halloween!
Here are our neighbors Heather & Brandon with their little Doctor Keen!
All three cousins! I think Bryson was thinking about the candy he was about to get!
